Olive milling for third parties

Bring your olives, take your oil home

The oil mill is available to anyone who needs to produce oil from their own olives

Frantoio Gaeta has always offered a contract olive pressing service. Anyone who owns an olive grove and wishes to produce their own olive oil can come to our mill to have their olives pressed and take home the fruits of their labour.

How does the contract milling service work?

Once the olives arrive at our oil mill, they are unloaded, destemmed and weighed. At this point, the processing and production of the oil can begin.

When should you book your milling slot?

To use our olive pressing service, please contact us by telephone or email, or visit our premises in person before the olive harvest begins. This will enable us to schedule the harvest and avoid the olives being stored for too long. Excessively long storage periods can be very detrimental to the production of good-quality olive oil.

Wie bereitet man sich auf die Olivenpressung vor?

The olives should be delivered to the oil mill in containers that are preferably ventilated (crates). This will speed up the whole process at the oil mill. At this stage, the olives can be weighed and destemmed before being processed. The duration of this process depends on the quantities being processed.

Transport advice

Each olive grower must bring their own container to the oil mill to take their oil home in. Alternatively, you can buy tins directly from the oil mill.
Plastic food containers may also be used to transport the oil, but they are not suitable for long-term storage.

As time is very tight and the work is very hectic during production, for safety and time reasons, we advise against the use of glass containers (demijohns and/or bottles) and small tins.
